    A madcap romp from Park Avenue to Sing Sing and back again, Cole Porter’s The New Yorkers is a hilarious musical that celebrates the era of speakeasies, gangsters, society dames and the city at the center of it all. Porter’s musical centers on socialite Alice Wentworth, whose bootlegging boyfriend takes her on a wild — and illegal — adventure. Featuring the standards “I Happen to Like New York” and “Love for Sale,” this musical reconstructs many of the original material that had been considered lost, making this production one of the most ambitious ever.
