Free boat tours on ferries, schooners, fireboats, tall ships, and tugboats; free on-water rowing and kayaking demonstrations and lessons; the heart-stopping Con Edison Cardboard Kayak Race; and the Waterfront Activity Fair, where hundreds of organizations set up tables with information about their work, as well as games, crafts, and giveaways, including Disney’s children’s activities. It could only be City of Water Day!
Join the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance (MWA) in celebrating the eighth annual City of Water Day on Saturday, July 18, on Governors Island, at Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, New Jersey, and at dozens of In Your Neighborhood sites in all five boroughs, Yonkers, and New Jersey.
