    The Cathedral Of St. John The Divine Honors WorldPride NYC and LGBTQ Community with Evensong and Spirit of Pride Celebration

    The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, an official Community Partner of WorldPride NYC and Stonewall 50, hosts a special celebration of the Spirit of Pride at Choral Evensong on Sunday, June 23 at 4:00 pm at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. The Evensong service will feature music by LGBTQ composers, including Meredith Monk and Benjamin Britten, sung by the esteemed Cathedral Choir.

    Following the service, several panels of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt will be displayed in the Cathedral Nave, and guests are invited to stay for music, dance, and refreshments, sponsored by the Cathedral’s Congregation of Saint Saviour.
