BRONX STORIES: (IM)MIGRANT EXPERIENCES FROM THE BRONX AND THE LOWER EAST SIDE

Thursday, May 22, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Situated in neighborhoods that have historically been, and continue to be, home to many newcomers to New York, City Lore and The Bronx Museum of the Arts come together to celebrate their neighborhood immigrant communities with a special version of Bronx Stories.

City Lore will present the first of a two-part collaborative series that hosts storytellers, poets, and musicians performing works inspired by their (im)migrant experiences and the exhibition currently on view at City Lore: Moving Murals NYC: Henry Chalfant’s All-City Graffiti Archive. The event will culminate with an open-mic portion, during which the audience is invited to share their own short stories, poems, and songs.

    $10 admission

Location: City Lore, 56 East First Street, New York, NY 10003
