Bastille Day Celebration
Sunday, July 9, 2017
Along 60th Street from Lexington to 5th Avenue
Celebrate Bastille Day and all things French at a fun and festive afternoon of food, wine, culture, and entertainment!
For over 20 years, Bastille Day on 60th Street, presented by the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), has been New York’s largest public celebration of France’s Independence Day (July 14, 1789) and its historic friendship with the United States.
Abounding with French cuisine, musique, dance, and myriad attractions for the whole family, this three-block fête populaire invites New Yorkers to revel in the flavors, sounds, and joie de vivre of France!
Keep in mind that yours truly, New Yorkled, has been to this festival twice long ago. Gotta mention how crowded it was. I mean, wall to wall or rather building to building people. Took maybe fifteen minutes to get from one corner to another. BUT, what a blast it was! I totally enjoyed the energy! You just might as well.
