Bastille Day 2016 Festival
Sunday, July 10
Noon – 5:00 pm
60th Street, from Fifth Avenue to Lexington Avenue
Join them for a fun afternoon of French food, culture, and entertainment! For over ten years, Bastille Day on 60th Street, presented by the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), has been the largest public celebration in New York commemorating France’s Independence Day (July 14, 1789) and its historic friendship with the United States.
Highlights this year include a very special performance by An American in Paris cast members, a live screening of the 2016 UEFA European Championship Final, an exclusive champagne & chocolate tasting in their beautiful Skyroom, and talented performers making their Bastille Day main stage debut.
Keep in mind that yours truly, New Yorkled, has been to this festival twice long ago. Gotta mention how crowded it was. I mean, wall to wall or rather building to building people. Took maybe fifteen minutes to get from one corner to another. BUT, what a blast it was! I totally enjoyed the energy! You just might as well. 🙂
