Iconic views of the New York Harbor and Manhattan skyline to serve as back-drop for Atlantic Cup, May 31-June 4 at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s ONE°15 Marina

The Atlantic Cup presented by 11th Hour Racing is the United States’ premier and only dedicated Class 40 sailing race. The race showcases some of the top Class 40 sailors in the U.S. and world as they compete in the three-leg event. The Atlantic Cup is the longest offshore sailing race in the Western Atlantic and also the U.S.’ only short-handed offshore race dedicated to the Class 40.

The arrival of the Atlantic Cup will kick off a citywide celebration of sailing, complete with panoramic views of Lower Manhattan, the New York Harbor, Governors Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Located in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park, ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina is the first new marina in New York City in 20 years. The marina will house the competitors’ boats, alongside classic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. An 85-acre sustainable waterfront park, Brooklyn Bridge Park stretches 1.3 miles along the East River shoreline.

The Atlantic Cup is free and open to the public. For more information on the Atlantic Cup please visit http://www.atlanticcup.org/.
