    The Cabaret Showdown is a monthly game show produced by Sound Street Productions in association with FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade. This unique competition is a mixture of live karaoke and musical improvisation, with a game board. Contestants are asked to choose songs from various categories with no knowledge of what the song will be until 30 seconds before they sing. The winner from each month receives a free one-hour showcase performance presented at The Kraine Theater the following month. Contestants can register in advance at the shows official website,

    The Cabaret Showdown 6th Anniversary Show on Sunday, November 12th at 7:00pm will feature your host Mark McDaniels (Co-Author, Show Choir! – The Musical) with co-host Diana Byrne as DiVanna, pianist Assaf Gleizner, and resident judge Donald Garverick (Director/Choreographer, Beverly Hills: 90210 The Musical). November’s guest judges will include Michael A. Alden (Tony Award Winning Producer) and Lennie Watts (President of Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs).

    The Cabaret Showdown takes place on the second Sunday of every month at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) at 7pm. Tickets ($10-$12) can be purchased in advance at$12 ticket includes a free drink!

    FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID’s Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy.
