Marnix Everaert is a Belgian artist living and working in Ghent, Belgium. He is a professor of non-toxic printmaking at the Academy for Visual Arts DKO, Ghent. Everaert  draws inspiration from science, particularly scientific illustrations from the 18th and 19th centuries.  His work invokes marvel in the unknown, a reaction to a world in which everything is explained and taken for true.
