    Our Glen Oaks activities recognize the contributions of LGBTQ artists with an all-day exhibition of local talent, enable you to travel virtually to Pride parades around the world, and include opportunities for you to flex your creativity.

    Schedule of Events:

    10:30–11am, Inclusive Storytime
    Children and their families are welcome to a storytime that includes all types of families.

    10:30am–4:30pm, Exhibition of Queens LGBTQ Artists
    Come to our lobby to see our small but important showcase of local talent.

    11am–12pm, Family Coloring
    We will have LGBTQ-themed coloring pages and color pencils for a relaxing family coloring hour.

    12–2:30pm, Film Screening of The Hours with Dr. EK Tan
    Join Dr. EK Tan for a screening and discussion of the film adaptation of the novel The Hours.

    2:30–4:30pm, Virtual Reality: Experience Pride Parades Across The Globe
    Our virtual reality equipment transports you to another city or continent! Customers over 13 only. Participants under 18 need parental permission.

    3–5pm, Collage Project Celebrating LGBTQ Pride
    The project will be a collage-based 2D work based on historical gay pride/protest posters. Registration required by calling 718-831-8636.

    Use VR equipment to experience Pride parades from across the globe.

    11am–5pm, Lavender Line Mini-Exhibit: A Photo History of the Queens Pride Parade

    11am–5pm, Queens Memory
    Help document the history of LGBTQ activism in Queens by signing up as an interviewee or volunteer or by nominating someone to add to the collection.

    11:30am–12:30pm, Rainbow Storytime
    Join us for stories, songs, and activities that celebrate our diversity.

    12:30–1:30pm, Rainbow Crafts for Kids

    3–4pm, Drag Queen Story Hour
    DQSH is a program for children ages 3 – 8 years old that raises awareness of gender diversity, promotes self-acceptance, and builds empathy through an enjoyable literary experience. The children will sing songs, listen to stories, and participate in a craft activity.
