    Join NYC Parks and Backpacker Magazine for the 10th anniversary of Adventures NYC, and discover adventure right here in your own backyard! Get ready to hike, bike, climb and paddle as we celebrate NYC Parks and the great outdoors. To celebrate this milestone, Adventures NYC is expanding to include a second day out in Marine Park, Brooklyn, for an entire weekend of adventure!

    On Saturday, June 21,  come to Central Park and enjoy a day of outdoor adventure – for FREE! Activities will include:

    • Kayaking
    • Stand-Up Paddleboarding
    • Rock Climbing
    • Gibbon Slacklining World Championships
    • Bike Helmet Giveaway, courtesy of NYC DOT
    • Downtown Dribble Kick-off with the NY Liberty
    • NY Knicks Groove Truck
    • Wheelchair Basketball
    • Biking
    • Outdoor Gear Exhibits
    • Free Bike Valet Parking
    • Fitness classes with Shape Up NYC

    Please note that lines are subject to close early to ensure that the event ends at 4:00 p.m.

    Sunday, June 22, at Marine Park will offer:

    • Guided Canoe Tours
    • Guided hikes around the Salt Marsh Nature Trail
    • Ranger-led activities at the Salt March Nature Center
    • Pedal Boats
    • Stand-Up Paddleboarding
    • Kayaking
    • Biking (Surrey Bikes, Tandem Bikes, Cruisers)

    Certain activities will require a waiver, which will be provided at the event for participants to sign. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present to sign the waiver.  Additionally, children must be at least 5 years of age to participate in Kayking and at least 8 years of age to participate in Stand-Up Paddleboarding.
