A (micro) history of world economics, danced
Pascal Rambert (France)
October 11 – 13
at La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theatre, 66 East 4th Street, Manhattan
Conceived at the height of the European economic crisis, A (micro) history of world economics, danced explores our collective economic history over centuries of time. Created with and circulating around the lives of anonymous, locally sourced performers – a ballet of raw bodies share their own histories in the larger history of economics – tall, short, young, old, of different ethnicities and ancestry on stage as one community to make meaning of a crisis.
Co-presented by La MaMa, etc, Performance Space 122 and French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) as part of FIAF’s Crossing the Line 2013 Festival.
