A Gilded Age Salon: Music from Paris and New York
At the Museum of the City of New York
Thursday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Acclaimed chamber ensemble the Sylvan Winds will play music from the Gilded Age in the City Museum’s Rotunda. Hailed by the New York Times for their “…venturesome programming and stylishness of performance,” the quintet will perform a French and American program including works by Debussy, Faure, MacDowell, Still, and Lefebvre. Before the concert, guests are invited to join curator Donald Albrecht for a tour of the newly-refurbished exhibition Gilded New York. A wine reception will follow. RSVP required. $15 Museum members; $20 students/seniors; $25 general public.
