Salute to Service Info Tent: Learn more about the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s connection to veterans and the military, and pick up information from veterans advocacy groups that work closely with the 9/11 Memorial. Throughout our tribute, veterans should stop by to receive a voucher for free admission to the Museum. Located on the Memorial plaza through November 11.
Special Exhibit: The Call to Serve: Explore untold stories of extraordinary service in the aftermath of 9/11 in this interactive installation powered by Google TourBuilder. On view in Foundation Hall through November 14.
Photo Exhibition: The Bedrooms of the Fallen: Photographer Ashley Gilbertson documents the memorialization of service members at an intimate level and captures the impact of the global war on terror on soldiers and their families. On view in the Museum’s Atrium Terrace through November 11.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
A Life of Service: Recognizing our First Responders: The 9/11 Memorial will acknowledge those veterans who continue to serve as first responders. Active duty members of the NYPD, PAPD, and FDNY will place American flags at the names of 9/11 victims who were veterans and first responders.
Live Talk: SEAL Team 6 and the Hunt for Bin Laden: Clifford Chanin, 9/11 Memorial Museum Vice President for Education and Public Programs, presents a special talk as part of our regular series, The Stories They Tell.
Auditorium Schedule: 11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Free on a first-come, first-served basis to all ticketed Museum visitors.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8
Heroes at Home: Military Family Appreciation: The sacrifice and courage of military families will be recognized at the Salute to Service Info Tent. Be sure to stop by to meet Frank Shane and his therapy dog, Chance, from K-9 Disaster Relief’s outreach program.
Live Talk: Bedrooms of the Fallen: Photographer Ashley Gilbertson discusses the private memorials of fallen soldiers captured in his new book, Bedrooms of the Fallen. A book signing will follow the program at the Museum Store.
Auditorium Schedule: 3 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Free on a first-come, first-served basis to all ticketed Museum visitors.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10
Ribbons of Remembrance: 9/11 Memorial Veterans Ceremony: A special ceremony with a wreath laying will be held on the 9/11 Memorial, followed by the tying of yellow ribbons on the Survivor Tree. All are welcome to attend.
Program begins at 11 a.m.
Live Talk: The Call to Serve: Hear from veterans whose stories of service are featured in our special The Call to Serve installation as they discuss, in their own words, 9/11’s impact on their military experiences. Begins following Veterans Ceremony.
Auditorium Schedule: 12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11
Veterans Day at the 9/11 Memorial: Yellow roses will be placed at the names of those killed in the attacks who served in the United States military.
