Open Market New Original is both the launch of the Meatpacking District’s rebranded look and identity, and is also a weekend-long celebration to highlight the district’s diversity and depth of businesses. Partnering with Meatpacking District friends and neighbors, the Open Market weekend is free for the public to enjoy with events, in-store activities, shopping discounts, public art, and exclusive tours and behind the scene access.

Kicking off with a ticketed concert at Highline Stages, New York veteran Santigold performs live alongside DJ sets from both Tanlines and Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs). At the kickoff party, the neighborhood’s top restaurants and bars host pop-up booths and offer signature bites and cocktails, included in the ticket price.

VIP tickets include VIP entrance, VIP area with private bar, guaranteed access to the after party at Tao, branded t-shirt, and priority access to the weekend’s activities along with food and drink. General admission tickets include access to the concert plus food and drink.

The Meatpacking District Improvement Association (MPIA), the non- profit business alliance of the area, supports the community through outreach, marketing, and with a maintenance and beautification program.
