2018 Madison Square Kids Summer Programming
New York, NY | — May 29, 2018—Madison Square Park Conservancy today announced the 2018 Mad. Sq. Kids programming schedule for May thru October. Programming will feature various interactive and enriching music, storytelling, and horticultural activities for kids and adults alike throughout the Park.
MUSIC
The Mad. Sq. Kids Concert Series is a free, interactive concert on the Southern Gravel every Wednesday morning from July 11 – August 15 from 10:00am – 11:00am. Children can dance, jump, clap and sing-along to an eclectic mix of today’s top children’s performing artists. Concerts are rain or shine. Adult supervision is required.

KIDS FEST
Mad. Sq. Kids is delighted to present Kids Fest: Stages in the Square, on Saturday, September 15th from 11am-3pm amidst the fall foliage of historic Madison Square Park. With three main stages teeming with performances, the Kids Fest: Stages in the Square festival will showcase a variety of performance art programming including music, dance, theatre, puppetry, and circus performances appropriate for children ages 0-12 and their families.
FAMILY NIGHT
Mad. Sq. Kids presents a special family night with Grammy Nominated Gustafer Yellowgold on Friday, October 5th from 6pm – 7:30pm. Gustafer is a friendly creature who came to Earth from the sun and is living out an explorer’s life in a slightly psychedelic version of the Minnesota woods. This show is a funny and touching multimedia performance of live music, colored-pencil animations and storytelling by Morgan Taylor. In case of rain, this program will take place at the same time on October 12.
FIREFLIES AT DUSK
It’s summer time, and our firefly friends are back for a visit! Enjoy an evening of catch and release for the whole family. Tuesday, July 31 at dusk.
Madison Square Park is located between Fifth and Madison Avenues, from 23rd St to 26th St.
