    17th Annual Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

    Sunday, October 11, 2015
    2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

    Following this 47th-year old tradition, the Latin American Cultural Center of Queens will honor the richness and diversity of the Latino community, with its 17th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. This event will feature a concert for voice and guitar called “The Beauty of the Americas”, with mezzo soprano, Anna Lorraine Tonna and Classical guitarist Francisco Roldan. The music includes songs by Ernesto Cordero (Puerto Rico), Manuel Ponce (Mexico), Heitor Villa Lobos (Brazil), solo guitar music by Astor Piazzolla, Negro Spirituals and Colonial era American songs.
    The Annual Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month is an event to highlight the dedicated efforts, achievements and contributions of Hispanics, to this great nation. In addition to honoring millions of Latinos who have been outstanding representatives of our community in the United States. LACCQ is proud to embrace this tradition and cordially invites the community in general to join us in celebrating Latin American history, culture and traditions, as well as the contributions and achievements of our community.
