Join artist Jeffrey Spencer Hargrave and curators Isaac Aden and Joseph Ayers for a special tour of Escape Route: Paintings and Drawings by Jeffrey Spencer Hargrave followed by a reception. Escape Route presents a selection of works created from 2011 to 2014 by the New York-based artist. Hargrave, an Artist in the Marketplace alumnus, has a compelling, deeply personal body of work incorporating painting, drawing, sculpture and video that explore the dynamics between race, sexuality and religion in relation to his upbringing in the south as an African American gay male.
