Once again, another opportunity's been had by the chancing upon of another New York City Happening. It was on the early evening of November 11th, Veteran's Day that a vigil was being held at the Park. On hand were a choir along with singers accompanied by piano. The unveiling of the Angel of Peace Statue and a special prayer which touched us all. This all took place at the little park located near the western end of Canal Street, Manhattan. Our presence there was a reflection of New York City's strength and unity.

Their Mission: to provide a sanctuary to nourish the bodies, spirits and souls of the heroes who serve the front lines during these difficult times of crisis. Nino's Restaurant continues to provide free hot meals 24 hours a day 7 days a week to New York's police officers, firefighters and other relief personnel reclaiming the World Trade Center Site. See below for info on donating and volunteering.

This pianist played off the back of a semi's cab.

I must salute this man for his playing. He continued to play despite the strong winds and deep cold.

Great voices sang a rendition of "Somewhere" from West Side Story.

The chorus moved us all.
