Not too long after the Tragedy of September 11th, 14 year old Joel Plue turned to his mother, Lori Bailey, with a wonderful idea. Let's raise money to help the loved ones of those lost on 911.

Well, since then they've been aiming to raise $1,000,000 for the New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund.

Armed with their Ford Focus station wagon and markers in hand, they took to the streets. Charging one dollar for the chance to leave your mark on their car they've raised thousands and thousands of dollars so far.

Not only that, but their Focus on Freedom Tour has been mentioned in a number of local papers has appeared in articles along the east coast of America.

I came upon them by chance and was truly amazed at the number of signatures and messages I'd seen on their station wagon. Perhaps what's most amazing is the huge heart which exists in such a young man.

A Hero by his own right, Joel has been battling juvenile arthritis and "has in past years, used his sense of humor to heal others by performing in comedy clubs, acting and developing screenplays with his mother..."

They are planning to continue their tour as time allows, on weekends, and during school breaks... travelling as far, and to reach as many hearts as possible.
