"We Will Not Fail - A Tribute to the American Spirit," is a painting
which is the work of artist Don Scafidi, a former merchant marine captain
and U.S. maritime delegate to NATO.
In a ceremony which took place at the NYC
Fire Museum in mid-February, 2002, seven firefighters received checks
from World Trade Center
Miracles Foundation (WTCMF), a California charity that created the
Ground Zero Medical Fund. WTCMF was set up to help firefighters, police
officers and other rescuers who have been injured while working at Ground
Zero.
It was during the ceremony that the painting created by artist Don Scafidi
was unveiled and donated to the Fire Museum. The painting will be on display
at the museum indefinitely. As for Mr. Scafidi, lithographs of the painting
will be sold, the proceeds of which will be donated to The World Trade
Center Miracle Foundation Adopt a Family Program. If you're interested
in purchasing one then visit the America
Will Not Fail website.
Visit the Fire Museum to see this painting and other artwork, antiques
and much much more.
