At the Henry Luce III Center For the Study of American Culture of The New York Historical Society are historical collections which span a time period from the 1600s to the present. Totaling nearly 40,000 museum objects in all, they're comprised of Paintings, Sculpture, Furniture, Tools for home and trade, Decorative objects, and even Tiffany Lamps.
