| Feast
of San Gennaro takes place on Mulberry between Canal and Houston;
and Grand and Hester between Mott and Baxter. This festival has always been a favorite of yours truly as well as of so many other New Yorkers.
Annual Feast of San Gennaro, Food, games, rides, concessions,
entertainment, parade, and religious procession at this well-loved
festival in Little Italy. Indoor and outdoor dining at 35 of Little
Italy's most famous Italian restaurants. More than 300 licensed
street vendors selling international foods, and souvenirs.
The street festivities – including parades, entertainment,
food stands and a cannoli-eating contest – are capped on September
19th with a celebratory Mass and candlelit procession as the Statue
of the Saint is carried from its permanent home in Most Precious
Blood Church on Mulberry Street.
Thursday, September 15
(Opening Day)
- 2:00 to 3:00 pm
10th Annual Cannoli Eating Competition
Taking place at the northwest corner of Grand and Mott Streets is this annual competition of food eating competitors as put forth by the IFC (International Federation of Competitive Eaters).
Winner of this contest will get the Championship Belt plus 2nd and 3rd place contestants will receive trophies as well.

Blessing of the Stands
Paris Priests from Most Precious Blood Church will bless the surrounding shops, vendors, cafes, restaurants and more as they walk through the streets of the festival locale.
Processions
Both processions listed below proceed north on Mulberry towards Houston and from there they move south on Mott towards Grand where they turn right on Grand towards Baxter Street.
- Monday, September 19
The Religious Procession begins at the Patio entrance of the church on Mulberry Street.
- 6:00 pm
A Celebratory High Mass in honor of San Gennaro in Most Precious Blood Church, the National Sanctuary of San Gennaro.
- 7:00 pm
A Religious Procession in which the
Statue of San Gennaro is carried through
the streets of the Feast.
- Saturday, September 24
- 2:00 pm
The Grand Procession begins at the Baxter Street entrance to the church.
Beginning at the Baxter entrance of the church
This particular item will feature floats, marching bands, musical performances as well as the Statue of San Gennaro as carried through Little Italy's Streets.
