The tree, which stands about 50-feet tall and is beautifully decorated with thousands of twinkling white lights. This year on hand will be the Big Apple Chorus to perform your yuletide faves.

Hess Presents Holiday Lights at the Bronx Zoo
Visit the Bronx Zoo and get to enjoy all the wonderful Holiday Lights strung out in many delightful shapes...but that's not all! There'll be costumed characters as well as ice sculpting and so much more!!! So get into the festive holiday spirit early this year and head on over to the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo this year!

Last year it was mentioned how they were closed December 24 & 25 but we can only presume at this point that it is closed those days.

November 21, 2009 - January 10, 2010

Taking place once again at the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory within the Bronx' NY Botanical Garden is this Seasonal treat wherein all are welcomed to enjoy the magical Holiday Train Show. With replicas of over 100 NY Landmarks stretched across the Conservatory (from the Statue of Liberty and Apollo Theater to winter scenes in Central Park) all are sure to be pleased by this stunning display as trains and trolleys travel throughout and enter and exit tunnels and bridges.

"Set amid evergreens and lights, it's a fantastic world sure to enchant the whole family. And there's something new to see every year. Additions to this year's landscape include the Jewish Museum, a much larger interpretation of the Brooklyn Bridge, and an historic Bronx firehouse. Gingerbread Adventures at the NY Botanical Garden's Everett Children's Adventure Garden in the Bronx
November 21, 2009 - January 10, 2010
Tuesday - Friday: 1:30 am - 5:30 pm
Weekends: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm

This "sense-sational" and magical holiday adventure beckons kids to smell, touch, and taste the spices and other plant parts that make up a gingerbread recipe. They'll discover that cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree, ginger root from an underground stem, and cloves from the bud of a clove tree. They can also grind spices, make spicy sachets and ornaments, and decorate gingersnap cookies.

New this year are the Winter Wonderland of Gingerbread Houses in the Bendheim Global Greenhouse and a tie-in to the popular children's story The Gingerbread Man. There's also a display of drawings of magnified spices, and kids can use microscopes to examine spices for their own botanical illustrations.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the fantastic Rockettes
November 13, 2009 - December 30, 2009

Once again thousands will be in awe from the show put on at Radio City this year just as in many years past. Taking place within the Rockefeller Center area otherwise considered by New Yorkled to be the Christmas Capital of the World!

New Yorkled will be seeing this show in November and we'll be back to report how great it is.

That grand vessel forged from steel recovered at the World Trade Center site is here at Pier 88 and will be open to the general public in the days leading to Veteran's Day.

Families are invited to explore the exhibition Kandinsky, a full-scale retrospective of the visionary artist, and engage in a day of family-friendly programs, including art-making activities, performances and storytelling at Fall Family Day on Sunday, November 22nd from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, 1071 Fifth Avenue (at 88 Street).

The Kandinsky exhibition features an unprecedented international collaboration, bringing together more than 100 colorful, rarely traveled works, and a historic opportunity for reexamination of Kandinksy’s visionary legacy. The retrospective draws from three other intuitions: Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau, Munich, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris.  The show runs September 18-January 13, 2010.
