is Coming To Town at Lincoln Square

On Winter’s Eve, dozens of neighborhood shops and
institutions will offer demos, discounts and holiday cheer.
Some of previous years' participants included Eddie Bauer,
Eastern Mountain Sports, Bed Bath and Beyond, Gracious Home,
Jacadi, Kiehl’s, Oreck Clean Home, West Side YMCA and
Metropolitan Opera Shop, Aveda, J.W. Cooper, Eileen Fisher,

Fitness Club and others.
The Winter's Eve festivities will follow Lincoln Center's
17th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, which begins at 5:30 pm
on the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center. The Tree
Lighting celebrates the rich cultural and artistic diversity
of the Lincoln Center community and will be hosted by popular
WABC-TV weatherman Sam Champion and broadcast live on WABC-TV.
This free event features special music and fun family entertainment.

Annual Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting

As is usual, tens of thousands will descend upon this
very special part of NYC as streets become aglow with Christmas
Cheer and Yuletide decor! From those wonderful decorations
outside of those many midtown office buildings to the skating
rink at Rockefeller Center there'll be plenty to take in
and hold sight of. 'And why not? For decades this area
has stood ground as what New Yorkled considers to be the
Christmas Capital of the World!
So come hither and rejoice as we near this merry time of
year.

The
Annual Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden
in the Bronx
November 23, 2007-January 13, 2008
Taking place once again at the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory
within the Bronx' NY Botanical Garden is this Seasonal treat
wherein all are welcomed to enjoy the magical Holiday Train
Show. With replicas of over 100 NY Landmarks stretched across
the Conservatory (from the Statue of Liberty and Apollo Theater
to winter scenes in Central Park) all are sure to be pleased
by this stunning display as trains and trolleys travel throughout
and enter and exit tunnels and bridges.
"Set amid evergreens and lights, it's a fantastic world

Gingerbread Adventures at the NY
Botanical Garden's Everett Children's Adventure Garden in the Bronx
November 23, 2007 - January 13, 2008
Weekdays: 1:30-5:30 pm
Weekends: 10 a.m.-5:30 pm
This "sense-sational" and magical holiday adventure
beckons kids to smell, touch, and taste the spices and other
plant parts that make up a gingerbread recipe. They'll discover
that cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree, ginger root from
an underground stem, and cloves from the bud of a clove tree.
They can also grind spices, make spicy sachets and ornaments,
and decorate gingersnap cookies.
New this year are the Winter Wonderland of Gingerbread Houses
in the Bendheim Global Greenhouse and a tie-in to the popular
children's story The Gingerbread Man. There's also a display
of drawings of magnified spices, and kids can use microscopes
to examine spices for their own botanical illustrations. |

City Christmas Spectacular starring the fantastic Rockettes

The show is between 90 and 105 minutes long.
