This isn't exactly anything to get dressed up for or even attend as a celebration, BUT it's that annual happening in which all are welcomed to bring their holiday trees to a designated park within New York City. This in turn will not only be a safe way of discarding of your tree(s) but also a way in which to help the environment since mulch will help nourish future plantings throughout our city.

For a list of various locales to drop your tree off at visit the official Department of Parks & Recreation website. (Remember, your tree(s) must be bare of all decorations and such before being dropped off).
