$20/adult, $15/ student or senior (65+), $8 for MOCA members, Free for children under 5. Advance reservation REQUIRED. According to the official site their tours fill up rather quickly thus it's advised that you book early. Also, tours are rain or shine, so dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
In celebration of Lunar New Year, MOCA offers FREE admission, including the public gallery talks (in English and Mandarin), special programs for seniors 65+ all day. FREE for seniors (65+ with valid ID). Visitors accompanying seniors will be charged MOCA’s regular admissions price ($7/adult; $4/student; free for MOCA members and children under 5).

Having grown from a small event with 30,000 visitors in its first year this item garnered 150,000 visitors last year! Each year the event just gets better and more family friendly. For this year, expect beautiful decorations, some really exciting artists, and of course, a beautiful selection of flowers.

Sky View Center, Queens’s newest mall, will host a celebration in honor of the Chinese New Year with the local Chinatown Community Young Lions, which promotes the Chinese culture through the dance. Decorated in symbolic lion garb, the young performers, ages 6 to 17, will perform a traditional lion dance that mimics a lions movement.
Valerie Toms, founder of the Young Lions, and Jenny Dirksen of Share Our Strength, a not-for-profit organization fighting childhood hunger, will kick off the event, which includes a special charity raffle. Following the dance, the Young Lions will perform the ceremonial blessing for the Sky View Center retailers, believed to bring good luck and happiness to all in the Year of the Rabbit.
Visitors, who have purchased a charity raffle ticket, will receive entry and food tickets into a Taste of Sky View Center event. Guests can enjoy a sampling of cuisine from Sky View Center restaurants including Applebee’s Grill & Bar, Five Guys, Golden Jaguar Buffet and local favorites Fay Da Bakery and Quickly Bubble Tea. The winners of the charity raffle will be announced at 2:30 PM on Level B.
$10 Donation includes 1 free raffle entry and food tickets.

Dragon with a Lion Dance at the China Institute Chinese New Year Festivities
Kick off the Year of the Dragon with a lion dance and Chinese Kung Fu demonstration held in front of Chi`na Institute on East 65th Street at 11:00 am (FREE!). Following the lion dance, join their calligraphy/couplet making and/or dumpling making workshops inside of China Institute. Sunday, February 5

Lunar New Year Parade in Flushing, Queens -
February 4, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
They'll be dragon dancers, steel drummers and fireworks.
From Main Street at 37th avenue towards Main and other
local streets as well as Flushing Mall. The parade is the feature of the Chinese New Year celebrations
in the area. On hand will be dragon dancers, steel drummers,
and fireworks. Expect to be accompanied by folks in the thousands. Following the parade will be the following:

January 28, Queens Library at Flushing, 41-17 Main Street near Kissena Blvd. Arts & crafts sponsored by the Council of Chinese-American Associations in Rooms A&B at 12:00 p.m., followed by a concert of classic Chinese songs, Broadway tunes and Italian opera arias with the New York Vocal Artists Research Center in the Auditorium at 2:00 pm.

Chinatown concludes Lunar New Year celebrations with lantern festivals. Date to come at the United Fujianese American Association will hang hundreds of lanterns, with riddles written on each, by Market Street and East Broadway. The Chen Dance Center is holding performances with excerpts ranging from Heart of Grace (2005), which draws inspiration from Chinese Lion Dance; Warriors of Light (1998) that speaks of the journey towards enlightenment; and excerpts of popular pieces from the founder's repertoire.
