Following
are photos taken at the Quick Chek/PNC Bank Ballooning Festival
of 2004. Unfortunately, due to the torrential rains New Yorkled
wasn't able to partake in this wonderful annual festival until
Sunday morning of this 3 day affair. Yours truly actually
got stuck in the mud at one point and well, on the second
day the parking was relocated to miles away.
With stormy looking clouds overhead, the mass ascension went
on without a hitch on the third day. To be honest, it was
exhilarating beyond compare to have not only borne witness
to this spectacular event but to have been able to stand so
close to the balloons prior to their take-off as the teams
involved fed more and more flamed-hot-air into the balloons
themselves.
