will take part in the annual week-long and city-wide Asian Contemporary
Art Week that begins on Monday, May 22.

Join us for a one-hour tour of The Noguchi Museum’s
permanent collection and the special exhibition Best of Friends:
R. Buckminster Fuller and Isamu Noguchi. The exhibition
documents the close friendship between Noguchi and architect
and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller through sculptures, photographs,
drawings and models. Following the tour, participants will
return to Japan Society for a traditional bento box lunch.

Enjoy the fragrance of matcha (powdered green tea) in an informal
setting with an introduction to the history and significance
of the tea ceremony in Japan. In the second part of the
program, Ashley Takayama, New York Branch Director of
Mushanokoji Senke, Kyoto, conducts a condensed version of the
tea ceremony suitable for children and families.
