Village Halloween Parade
Entering into its 39th celebration is the Annual Halloween Parade.
from Spring St to 16th Street along 6th Avenue
Monday, October 31st beginning at 7:00 pm

Come on down and see all the ghouls and goblins. It's a huge attraction with more than 2 million spectators and tens of thousands of participants. "It's the largest public participatory event in the greatest city in the world."

This year's theme is: 'The i of the Beholder'

So, if you show up in a costume then you're welcomed to join the parade.

Line up for the parade begins on 6th Avenue South of Spring Street and North of Canal From 6:30 to 8:30 pm

It then heads north to 16th Street and 6th Avenue. So show up in your costume and be ready to walk along in front of thousands upon thousands of spectators.

The Parade is expected to last from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and will be telecast through Cable NY1 News from 8:00 - 9:30pm.

It takes about 2 hours or more for the parade to reach the end.

Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum Special Spooky Tour
Saturday, October 22 from Noon to 4:00 pm

Help then celebrate the harvest season with music, stories, fun and games, face painting, produce sold from our own garden harvest, a brief "Spooky Tour" of NYC's oldest house and our annual Costume Swap, where parents can bring their child's outgrown costume and swap it for another one.  Please consider bringing your costumes ahead of time to get a Swap Ticket, so there will be plenty of items to chose from on the day of the event.

The Haunted Halloween Carnival of Puppetry Arts has grown to be one of the largest and most spooktacular family events in the community celebrating the season of ghouls and goblins. Its success has been the organization’s unique relationship with partnering institutions, businesses, and volunteers that help make the community outreach event possible.

The Haunted Halloween Carnival will invite kids to fish for healthy teeth with the House of Orthodontia monster shadow puppet game, make pizza monster puppets with 7-11 of Park Slope, make crafty masks with Arts for All, and design their own crazy hats with Regal Cinemas.

The event will also be the host to spooky puppet and mask making crafts, face painting, and carnival games. Raffles and giveaways include items from Top of the Rock, Madame Tussauds, Cheese Burger! Cheese Burger!, Met Life, and Elope Hats. There will be a Bounce Castle, NY Fire Safety booth, and Puppetry Art’s popular kid-friendly Haunted House sponsored by TD Bank.

Come dressed to spook for the costume contest at 3:30pm with amazing prizes and the first 200 kids get a free Trick-or-Treat Bag filled with tons of goodies from merchants along 5th Ave Park Slope, 4C Foods, Poland Spring, Dave & Busters, Food Should Taste Good, Cabot Creamery, and more! Meet N’ Greets Brooklyn Cyclone’s Sandy the Seagull and fan’s favorite Stormtroopers and Jedi Knights of the 501st Empire City Garrison and Echo Base Legions Star Wars Costume Volunteers with very special guest R2-D2! The astronomic droid will roam the event all from 11:30-3:30 pm.

    The Great Organ will be played by Timothy Brumfield to accompany this year’s screening of the original Phantom of the Opera (1925) and the procession of Ralph Lee and the Mettawee River Theater Company’s ghosts and ghouls, Halloween at the Cathedral will be infused with new energy. The full stretch of the nave is at the disposal of Mr. Lee’s fantastic creatures of the night, and visitors are encouraged to brace themselves for increased ghostly mischief and ghoulish tricks. Seats closest to the action are for the bravest at heart, who may find themselves directly confronted with the hooked, expressive nose of a demon, the mossy nails of a witch, or the bulging, flushed cheeks of a ghostly manchild.

World Financial Center's Screamin' Green Halloween

Green your Halloween at the World Financial Center! Here's Fun, Friendly, Freaky activities for kids to 12 years of age. Come celebrate Halloween with the whole family at Hudson River Park’s 2nd annual Halloween Kidz Karnival!
Hudson River Park’s Pier 46 transforms into “Halloween Central” with fun-filled attractions including face painting, mask decorating, wax hands, cotton candy, rides and more that will keep you in the Halloween spirit all day long. 
In addition to these spooktacular activities, The Striking Viking Story Pirates will perform Halloween-themed improv shows for children and adults of all ages throughout the day.
All ages are invited. Most attractions will appeal to kids aged 3–12 years. Some activities are free and select activities will cost $2.

6th Annual Not too Scary Halloween Party
at the Staten Island Children’s Museum
OSaturday, October 29 from Noon – 4:00 pm

The following description is from a previous year:
The Museum will open at noon and admission is free.  The East Meadow will be filled with kids in their Halloween best decorating pumpkins and making Halloween crafts.  There will also be music (thriller dancing on the Meadow) a haunted house, a kid bounce, treats and mischievous fun! 
  
Put on your Halloween costume(for a parade and contest)! The fun will begin early! It’s Halloween!  We need everyone – big, small, short and tall – to decorate Pumpkins!  The big tent will be ready for art activities: Skeleton Puppets, Pencil Critter and a Haunted House in the museum.  On the Meadow, kids can jump on the Giant Bounce and play some games and races like find the Needle in the Haystack and a Lollipop Toss.  Matt Long (award winning sand sculptor) will be on hand with 8 tons of sand sculpting something Not Tooo Scary on the meadow.

The Museum’s Not Too Scary Halloween will take place from noon – 4 pmand promises to be a howl!  Admission to the party is FREE.  Adults must accompany kids; there is limited space available, so please come early.
