Held in Central Park each year, the Run for the Parks consists of a 4-Mile Race and Kids Races, followed by a post-race reception with food, music, and activities for runners and spectators. Carl Schurz Park, 86th and East End Avenue The Wilson Disease Association is hosting our second annual New York City Walk-a-thon. Walk Out Wilson’s or “WOW” will help to create awareness about this devastating genetic disorder. For this event to be successful we need your help!
Wilson disease is a genetic disorder that is fatal unless detected and treated before serious illness from copper poisoning develops. With 1 in 30,000 people affected worldwide and no cure yet discovered, the need for support is of upmost importance.

10K Community Run & Fun Walk

The race is one of the premier 10K’s held in all New York City. Given its proximity to the NYC Marathon, many athletes see Restoration’s 10K as a “warm up” to their long-distance run in November. However, people of all fitness levels and ages are attracted to the race which has become a much anticipated community event.
The starting line for the 28th Annual 10K Community Run and Fun Walk is at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn.
