What could NYC possibly be without this landmark gem which with all its architectural glory has been quite the sight and attraction for so many years? New Yorkled's been there repeatedly to photograph this gem and hopefully yours truly will be out there for the celebrations. These events will be taking place within the borough of Brooklyn and will highlight the strength, glory and beauty this bridge has shown for so long.

- Concert & Fireworks!
At Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park (otherwise known as Brooklyn Bridge Park?) there will be a concert by the Brooklyn Philharmonic accompanied by special guest appearances.
Following this musical item will be Fireworks put forth by Grucci. Yes, Grucci is that same name which has lit our skies on the 4th of July in the past.
Opening at 6:00 pm
Concert Begins at approximately 7:45 pm

Friday, May 23
- Film
Brooklyn Bridge Film Series taking place at Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park will be
Featuring two short historic films:
- 1903: 'Panorama from the Tower of the Brooklyn Bridge'
- 1921: 'Manhattan'
Followed by:
- 2007: 'Enchanted' (Walt Disney Pictures' 2007 Film) starring Julie Andrews, Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey.
All of this will be preceded by music set forth by a DJ.
Music begins at: 6:00 pm
Films begin at 8:30 pm
Supposedly there'll be popcorn as well.
- Brooklyn Bridge Tours
Guided tours of the Bridge will be offered
through Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm by the the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Roebling Chapter of the Society for Industrial Archeology.
At the Brooklyn and Manhattan side arches of the Brooklyn Bridge.

- Lecture Series
The Brooklyn Historical Society will feature a weekend of readings and lectures each hour from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at their 128 Pierrepont Street Location on Clinton Street. For information: 718-222-4111
Other lectures will aslo be held at Surrogates Court from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

- Brooklyn Bridge Walking Tour
There'll be a tour of the Brooklyn Bridge taking place at 11:00 am by Ron Schweiger who is the official historian for Brooklyn.
Interested individuals to meet at the Manhattan side arch of the Brooklyn Bridge.
