The City of New York and
Columbia Pictures invite all New Yorkers and visitors to the take
part in the festivities of “Spider-Man Week In NYC” from April
30 - May 6. The week offers fun Spider-Man events at dozens
of cultural landmarks and tourist attractions throughout the five
boroughs to celebrate the Tribeca Film Festival’s premiere
of Spider-Man 3 in Queens, Peter Parker’s hometown. Spider-Man
Week in NYC is the result of a partnership between Columbia Pictures
and NYC & Company, the City’s tourism, marketing and

Spiders: Alive! at American Museum
of Natural History (Central
Park West at 79th St.; www.amnh.org)
The upper West Side favorite is host to the largest spider collection
in the world, and, this week only, the museum's Dr. Norm Platnick
will install a special spider exhibit featuring a dozen of the
most unusual arachnids you've ever seen! There'll also be spider
origami projects, discussions, and Q&A's. On Tuesday, May 1,
from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., come say hi to Spider-Man himself!

Spidey Goes Wild Week at The Bronx

The ultimate scavenger hunt is on as clues are scattered throughout

Kids can explore the rainforest, antarctic habitat and snake houses

The real Green Goblin mask from Spider-Man 1 will be on display
for a mask-making workshop in which children will use paint and
textured collage materials to create their own masterpieces. Week-long,
children can make their very own read and blue Spider-Man puppets.
