The Frick Collection, so named after Henry
Clay Frick, is where one will find some of the most exceptional
works of Western Art. Ranging from the Renaissance through
the late nineteenth century, the Collection includes works
by such celebrated artists as Bellini, Constable, Corot, Fragonard,
Gainsborough, Goya, El Greco, Holbein, Ingres, Manet, Monet,
Rembrandt, Renoir, Titian, Turner, Velazquez, Vermeer, and
Whistler. Altogether, it has a permanent collection of over
1,100 works of art. Furthermore, the Frick's galleries contain
fine French porcelain, Italian bronzes, sculptures, and period
furniture. Moreover, there are ongoing presentations and exhibitions
of additional artwork as well as lectures and even concerts.
