Song of Norway is an operetta/musical by Robert Wright and George Forrest, creators of Kismet. Set in 1860, it tells the story of composer Edvard Grieg as a young man, dreaming of international fame and fortune, but after achieving it under the patronage of a famous Italian prima donna, he comes to realize where his heart and true creativity lie, and returns to his two loves: childhood sweetheart Nina and his home in Troldhaugen, Norway. Ted Sperling conducts and directs a showcase of Broadway talent and the beautiful music of Grieg in this rare offering, followed by The Chorale’s Spring Benefit and Live Auction.
