From various years and taken at either the Quickchek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning at Solberg Airport within Readington, NJ or at the Adirondack Balloon Festival at Crandall Park within Glens Falls, NY.
As one can probably figure out, Hot Air Balloons have always been a huge favorite subject of mine to capture photographically. ‘and all the better when the weather’s cooperative. So join along and take a look at many of New Yorkled’s Balloon Shots.

free at last...
funny how folks will try to correct me as to my grammatical use and application of certain words. some will tell me how i shouldn't be capitalising the seasons. yet i can't help it. 'tis the seasons for which i exist. i live for Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer in that order.
Summer being the least of my faves happens to be at the top of my list this year of 2007. funny aye? the photo above is merely one example of what my Summer's been like for me. it's been quite the gem and i'll never ever forget it. from Summer morns to Summer excursions and Summery sunsets...'they've all be awesome.
thus here i am having taken few photos lately simply looking back and thinking....damn! what a friggin great season this has been for me!
thanks for readin' this far. and whether or not I'm doing it right here?...'well i frankly don't give a damn! since 'free at last' means more than what most can fathom and only those of you who know me well will know what it really means.
god bless!

Orbiting 'round the earth.
Didn't realize until after some post processing how much this resembled two balloons floating in outer space around the earth.
Regardless, You can also see the huge heights that one balloon in particular managed to reach as another was being released into the air. Mind you, the air was seriously calm making the weather prime for such an event.

Pair in Flight
Yet two more balloons in flight at the Adirondack Balloon Festival.
Note: They weren't actually in this angle. I simply turned my camera slightly to get it this way. I personally thought it was neat the way it turned out.

Dorothy's Adventure
Hmmmm, let's see. There's the wizard on the left. Dorothy up front. The guy on the right might be the scarecrow....'and is that the tin man's hand I see back there?
The lion?...errrr, he took the bus I think. ;-)

...within a Technicolor Fantasy
Balloons galore here from last year's NJ Festival of Ballooning. Can't wait for this year's fest to come. :-)

All dressed up....at the 2008 NJ Balloon Fest - II
....and nowhere to go except up.
'another shot from the 2008 Quick Chek NJ Festival of Ballooning. Don't recall ever seeing this particular balloon in past years...anyone else remember this item?
Anyhow, for anyone interested....it's going on this weekend at Solberg Aiport, NJ.

2008 NJ Balloon Fest - V
Steady as she goes!
Here are the folks steadying a balloon as one carefully uses the burner to blow flames through the balloon's mouth and into the envelope. (Yup! I had to look up the terminology! LOL)
Shot taken at the 2008 NJ Festival of Balloon at Solberg Airport.

Candy Striper @ NJ Balloon Fest - VI
Well it's not really called the CandyStriper....'least i don't think it is....but doesn't it make you think of the name?
Here's one of the over 100 (they claim 125) balloons at the 2008 NJ Festival of Ballooning.

2008 NJ Balloon Fest - XVI
In all likelihood not the last of my Balloon Shots for the year. :-P
On another note, some of that texture on the underside of the balloon is dirt I would suppose. Heck, not all balloons can be pristine I guess.
Regardless, for those of you interested, there is the 2008 Adirondack Balloon Festival taking place in Glens Falls, NY from September 18-21, 2008. Hopefully I'll make it to that one.
Cheers folks. :-)

The very first -- XVII
Amazingly....one will stand there thinking why on earth is this sole balloon being lit above all others.....'and then the roar follows through and you realise why. You realise this is the first of them all and an unforgettable sound fills the air as dozens if not more balloons are filled all around.
'and you stand there wondering.....'WoW!.......OH WOW.....!!!!!
How I'd love to be aboard that wonder!
